When it comes to creating unforgettable glamping experiences, design and comfort go hand in hand. A great example of this can be found at Glamping Horizonte Maya in Mexico, where nine customized 8-meter glass dome tents by RAXDOME have been installed to serve as luxury hotel suites.
The resort wanted to build a destination that combined natural immersion with five-star comfort. To achieve this, they partnered with RAXDOME to design and install nine 8m geodesic glass domes, each offering around 50㎡ of interior space.
Custom Design for Luxury Experience
The client opted for a blue coated tempered glass exterior, which creates a striking visual impact while providing UV protection and excellent insulation. The domes reflect the surrounding trees and sky, blending harmoniously with the natural environment and standing out as iconic architecture.
Inside, each dome was equipped with RAXDOME’s exclusive 360° double-layer curtain system, giving guests both privacy and control over natural lighting. Additionally, every dome includes an independent bathroom, ensuring that each unit functions as a complete, comfortable suite.
Performance & Comfort
Built with aviation-grade aluminum alloy frames, the domes are engineered to withstand strong winds, snow loads, and seismic conditions, ensuring safety and stability. The tempered glass allows excellent thermal performance, making the domes suitable for both tropical and temperate climates.
