From Factory Visit to Dome Cinema: A 12×25M Custom Capsule Project in China
When the customer first started planning this project, they didn't immediately choose a supplier.
They visited multiple manufacturers to compare product quality, structural design, and manufacturing capabilities. Eventually, they came to our factory to see our dome samples and production facilities in person.
After seeing the quality of our products and discussing their project requirements with our team, they decided to move forward with us.
But the project was far from a standard capsule dome.
A 7M-High Capsule Built Around the Project
The standard height of our 12m capsule glass dome structure is around 6 meters. However, the customer needed more vertical space for their planned dome cinema, so we developed a customized 7-meter-high structure specifically for this project.
The large 12×25M capsule dome structure also required additional reinforcement. We added reinforced horizontal beams to the frame while keeping the interior free of structural columns.
The result was a large, open interior with no columns blocking the space—an important requirement for installing the spherical screen and creating an immersive viewing environment.
During the design stage, our designers stayed in close communication with the customer. Based on their requirements, drawings were produced and adjusted quickly, allowing the final design to be confirmed without unnecessary delays.
Finished Installation in Just 10 Days
Our engineers also traveled to the project location to provide on-site installation guidance, helping the local team complete the structure efficiently.
The result?
The entire capsule structure was installed in just 10 days.
But installation was only the beginning.
After the dome structure was completed, the customer continued with the interior decoration and cinema installation. From the start of dome installation to the completion of the interior and final opening, the entire project took approximately one and a half months.
A Capsule Dome Transformed into a Dome Cinema
Today, the 12×25M capsule has been transformed into a dome cinema, offering visitors a unique immersive entertainment experience.
The spacious, column-free interior provides the freedom needed for the cinema layout, while the distinctive capsule architecture itself has become an attraction.
After opening, the project quickly gained attention and became a popular experience among visitors.
What started as a customized structural requirement eventually became a complete commercial attraction—delivered from design and manufacturing to installation support within a remarkably short timeline.
