Building an Eco-Luxury Camp Without Disturbing Nature

RAXTENT × Luxeglamp Glass Dome Project in the UAE

Truly meaningful projects are never just about creating beautiful structures.

They are about finding the right balance between design, engineering, environmental responsibility, and real-world execution.

Luxeglamp is exactly such a project.

It all started with one careful inquiry

In 2022, Antony, the founder of LuxeGlamp, contacted RAXTENT for the first time.

He was planning a high-end eco-resort located within a protected mangrove area in the UAE, and was searching for an architectural solution that could offer a distinctive guest experience while minimizing environmental impact during construction.

At the early stage, he inquired about both a 7-meter glass dome and a 20-meter large-span dome.

However, this was never a project that could be decided quickly.

Over the following year, RAXTENT and Antony team carefully reviewed and discussed structural safety, site conditions, logistics and installation methods, regulatory requirements, and long-term operational performance.

Inspiration came from another RAXTENT landmark project

The design concept of Luxeglamp was inspired by one of RAXTENTs iconic projects

Memories Aicha Luxury Camp in Jordan.

In 2018, RAXTENT delivered and built 25 units of 6m and 7m glass domes for Aicha Camp.

After its opening in 2019, the camp quickly became internationally recognized as a benchmark luxury desert destination.

This project planted the seed in Antonys mind that a glass dome resort is not only visually attractivebut commercially and operationally proven.

Memories Aicha Luxury Camp

Before making the decision, he stayed in our domes

In early 2024, before visiting RAXTENTs factory, Antony and his team traveled to Jordan and personally stayed at Memories Aicha Luxury Camp.

After experiencing the domes in real conditions, he shared with our team:

The living comfort completely changed my concerns about insulation and thermal performance of glass structures.

June 2024 the project officially moved forward

In June 2024, Antony visited RAXTENTs factory and held in-depth meetings with our engineering and project teams.

Unlike typical resort developments, the site is located within a protected mangrove reserve.

This location imposes extremely strict construction requirements:

minimal ground disturbance

no damage to the ecosystem

environmentally safe and controllable materials

fast, low-impact installation methods

Conventional construction solutions were not suitable for such an environment.

Why RAXTENT glass domes were selected

After multiple technical evaluations, RAXTENTs modular glass dome system became one of the few solutions capable of meeting environmental approval standards.

RAXTENT glass domes use aerospace-grade aluminum profiles with a lightweight and modular assembly structure, offering high load capacity, excellent corrosion resistance and suitability for humid coastal environments.

All tempered glass used in the project meets certified safety and durability standards for long-term outdoor use.

Solving the most important issue thermal performance

Thermal insulation had always been Antonys biggest concern.

Based on real-life experience in Jordan, and technical simulations by RAXTENT engineers, the Luxeglamp project finally adopted:

6 + 12A + 6 mm insulated tempered glass system

To better integrate with the surrounding mangroves and blue lagoon, all domes use blue coated glass:

soft blue reflection that blends into the environment

privacy from outside view

clear panoramic visibility from the interior

A dome designed for real hospitality experience

For interior comfort and privacy, RAXTENT developed a customized triple-layer 360° curtain system, precisely following the dome curvature.

During the day, the domes open into full panoramic viewing spaces.

At night, they transform into quiet, private luxury suites.

This is part of RAXTENTs mature hospitality-grade dome solution.

Final project configuration

After confirming the functional layout and operational requirements, the final scope of the project was defined as:

1 × 15m glass dome  restaurant and reception hall

1 × 8m wooden glass dome kitchen facility

10 × 7m glass domes  luxury accommodation units

2 × 6m wood-tone glass domes  sauna and changing facilities

All units use blue insulated glass for a unified visual identity.

After the design was finalized, production began.

During manufacturing and preparation, Antony continued to introduce new functional ideas and detail adjustments based on the overall resort planning.

RAXTENT maintained close communication on structure interfaces, interior preparation and system integration, and continuously optimized solutions according to on-site conditions.

The entire order was successfully completed and delivered in August 2024.

Antony once said:

This camp will be seen by the world, and it will become one of RAXTENTs most representative projects.

Luxeglamp Project Launch Ceremony

A resort quietly emerging among the mangroves

In June 2025, LuxeGlamp officially opened.

Surrounded by mangroves and water, the blue glass domes reflect the changing light throughout the day.

In daylight, the domes appear light and transparent.

At night, they glow softly along the lakeside, like scattered blue crystals.

The architecture does not attempt to dominate the landscape.

Instead, the resort intentionally steps back, allowing nature to remain the main focus.

Recognition from UAE national media

In January this year, Antony shared another update with us

LuxeGlamp was featured by Khaleej Times, one of the UAEs national mainstream newspapers.

Less than one year after opening, Luxeglamp has received strong public feedback and recognition for its careful balance between development efficiency and environmental protection within a sensitive ecological setting.

From the first inquiry in 2022, through repeated evaluation and real-life experience, to final implementation, the LuxeGlamp project took nearly three years to complete.

Today, the blue glass domes stand quietly among the mangroves, becoming part of the landscape they were designed to respect.

And for us, it was simply a privilege to accompany this idea, step by step, until it quietly became a real camp among the mangroves.
